Today I am talking about scaffolding like, what is scaffolding, why it is used, advantages and types to start with me?

What is Scaffolding ?

  • In education, scaffolding refers to a variety of instructional techniques used to move students progressively toward stronger understanding and greater independence in the learning process.

  • Like physical scaffolding, the supportive strategies are incrementally removed when they are no longer needed, gradually shifting more responsibility over the learning process to the student.

  • In the context of construction, scaffolding (also called scaffold or staging) is a temporary structure used to support a work crew and materials during building, maintenance, repair, or demolition of structures.

  • Scaffolds provide access to heights and areas that would otherwise be hard to reach.
